Box Score MILLERSVILLE, PA – Millersville University edged Chowan in five sets on Saturday by scores of 21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13. The Hawks, playing their final non-conference match of the season, fall to 21-6, while Millersville moves to 15-16.
Tori Lewis recorded a game-high 22 kills and had 11 digs for Chowan. Defending CIAA Player of the Year
Karina Monroe had 17 kills and a team-high four service aces.
Tara Thomalla tallied 16 digs and
Callie Armistead has 51 assists.
Each team recorded 61 kills for the match, but Millersville hit .245 while the Hawks hit .174. Chowan will return to CIAA action on Monday, October 24
th, when they host Virginia Union University at 6:00pm. This will be the final home game of the season, as well as the annual “Dig Pink” game for cancer awareness.
