Box Score MURFREESBORO - The Chowan University volleyball team took a straight sets match win over Lincoln University today to stay undefeated in CIAA play. The Hawks got seven kills from Megan Sawyer and totaled 20 team aces to help propel them to the 25-12, 25-10, and 25-16 straight sets win. The Hawks will play the University of the District of Columbia in the final match of today's trimatch at 3:00pm. Lincoln and UDC will play at 1:00pm.

Chowan rolled to the straight sets win behind 20 team aces. Megan Sawyer totaled seven aces and seven kills. Tara Thomalla has five aces while Callie Armistead had 10 assists. Allison Smith had 14 assists and three kills in the win. Karina Monroe and Nikira Fults each tallied six kills in the match.

Chowan improves to 14-3 overall, 9-0 in the CIAA, and 3-0 in divisional play. The Lady Lions are still looking for their first win and fall to 0-19 on the year, 0-10 in the CIAA, and 0-4 in the division.
