Box Score GREENSBORO - The Chowan University men's soccer team dropped a 5-0 decision to Guilford College in first day play at the Guilford College Invitational. The Hawks were held to four shots in the match while the Quakers used five second period goals to help propel them to victory. GC's Freddy Gomez and Jordan Alexander scored two goals each. 

Scott Cullen played 90 minutes in goal for Chowan and held the Quakers out of goal until the second period. Cullen, in his first collegiate start as a goalkeeper, had five saves and faced 18 shots in the match. The Quakers busted the 0-0 game at teh 58:35 mark and went on to score four more unanswered goals. 

The Hawks will play Averett University tomorrow at 12:00pm in day two action at the Guilford College Invitational.
