Brandon Chambers scored a goal on a cross from
Ross Danzeisen to cut the Lion lead to a goal. But time ran out on the Hawks comeback attempt despite getting off 22 shots in the match, eight more than the Lions.
Lincoln took an early 1-0 lead after hitting a goal at the 2:19 mark of the first period.
Caleb Blaize took a pass from Chambers for a score to knot the game at 1-1 at the 32:11 mark of the first period. Lincoln scored goals in the 50th and 60th minutes to get up on the Hawks 3-1. Chambers goal in the 88th wasn't enough to pull off a comeback and the Hawks fell 3-2.
Chambers got off six shots in the match to go with his goal and assist.
Scott Cullen played the entire match in goal for Chowan where he collected two saves and allowed three goals.
Chowan (0-8) will head to Wilson, North Carolina on September 28th for a match with Barton College in their next outing.
