FAYETTEVILLE, NC - Two first half scores by Methodist's Clayton Melton was all the Monarchs needed to hand Chowan University their fifth straight loss this afternoon. The Hawks fell 2-0 today to remain winless at 0-5 on the year. Chowan managed eight shots in the match while Methodist got off 24 shots, 13 of which were on goal. 

Chowan's Scott Cullen collected 11 saves, to match a season high for him in goal. Cullen and the Hawks' backline combined efforts in the second period to keep Methodist out of the net, but the damage was done in the first period. 

Chowan's Brandon Chambers and Caleb Blaize each add shots on goal in the match.

Chowan (0-5) will host back-to-back home matches with Greensboro on Saturday and Catawba on Sunday.
