OXFORD, PA - The Chowan women's tennis team knocked off CIAA foe Lincoln University but fell short against Bowie State in play over the weekend.  Sophomore Jena'y Nelson led the way for the Hawks by taking a doubles victory against Lincoln and being the only singles winner for Chowan at Bowie.  Chowan's women go to 3-5 on the season.  For Lincoln and Bowie, this was their first contest of the season. 

The men's tennis team was at a 3-3 tie with Lincoln before darkness halted play.  Chowan's mens team is still searching for it's first win with an 0-4 record.

The Chowan women travel to Fayetteville State on Tuesday.  Both the men and women host Shaw University this Wednesday.
