Box Score MOUNT OLIVE, NC - Chowan put three players in double figures tonight but Mars Hill had five score in double digits, including a 28 point outing from Sammy Emile, on their way to edging Chowan 97-87 at the 45th Annual Pickle Classic. Mark Brown put up 19 points while teammates Aaron Allen and Jerry Fairley contributed 15 points each in the game. Chowan falls to 0-2 on the year after tonight's loss. They will play North Georgia State College and University Saturday at 5:00pm. 

Chowan trailed 41-36 at the half and got down by as many as 15 in the second half. Chowan went on a run near the eight minute mark to cut the lead to two points at 75-73. with just over 6:00 to play in the game. Emile helped spread the lead and keep the seperation with some late three pointers to help give Mars Hill the ten point win.

Brown ended the game with 19 points, seven boards, and three assists. Allen hit 7-10 from the free throw line and chipped in 15 points. Fairley came off the bench to give Chowan 15 points and three steals.
