MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University men's basketball team fell to the Barton Bulldogs in a conference matchup on the final day of their regular season.

The Hawks scored 32 points in the paint, 23 points from the bench, 14 fast break points, and nine points off turnovers. They pulled down 26 total rebounds.

Eric Gordon Jr. and Aaron Ross led the scoring with 12 points each, while Ross also added 11 rebounds. William Hynes contributed with two steals. RJ Wilson added eight points, six rebounds, and three assists.

Chowan University (17-9, 14-6) claimed the third seed in the Conference Carolinas Championships and earned a bye into the quarterfinals with a KPI of .149. The quarterfinals are set for Friday, March 7, at Jerry Richardson Indoor Stadium in Spartanburg, S.C. The Hawks will face the winner of the 6-7-12 matchup at 8:30 p.m.
