Hawks Set to Travel to Saint Pauls Saturday

Anthony Hooks currently leads the CIAA in INT's with 5 on the year
MURFREESBORO - The Chowan  University football team will be making the 75 mile trek to South Hill, Virginia tomorrow for a 1:00pm kick off with CIAA Northern Division rival Saint Pauls College (1-5, 1-2). Tomorrow's match up will feature the Northern Division's third and fourth place teams. The Hawks currently sit in 3rd place with a 2-1 divisional record and are 2-4 overall. Virginia State takes the top spot after beating Elizabeth City State on Thursday night. Bowie State and ECSU are tied for second place. Tomorrow's game will be played at Park View High School in South Hill. Hawks fans can tune into the game with Gattis Hodges, who will be calling the game live via audio webcast. He will go on air at 12:45pm. Log onto the athletics website and find the GAME DAY CENTRAL button and the live audio link. 

CU's Anthony Hooks is currently ranked #1 in the CIAA in interceptions with five on the season. He had two picks against Virginia State, two against Virginia Union, and had one in a win over Lincoln last week. 

Robert Holland is currently 2nd in the league in receptions per game with 6.2. He has a position-high six touchdowns and is 4th in total scoring in the CIAA. 

Tony Goodman is ranked 2nd in the CIAA in punt return yardage per game. He is getting 16.5 yards a return and has 329 punt return yards with one 66 yard return for a touchdown. Goodman is also ranked 3rd in the league in all purpose yardage per game at 146.7. 

Marc McCadden is 2nd in the CIAA in sacks with 5.0 on the year.
