LAWRENCEVILLE, VA - The men's basketball team saw their eight-game win streak come to an end tonight at Saint Pauls College. The Tigers held on to edge the Hawks 70-68 in the game. Chowan moves to 12-5 overall and 8-3 in the CIAA after tonight's loss. The Hawks got 42 points from Jaleel Nelson and Mark Brown in the game. 

The Hawks chipped away at a 12 point Tiger lead over the course of the second half. The two teams exchanged baskets over the final five minutes of play, exchanging leads eight times over that period of time. SPC's Maurice Reevy scored the game-winning goal with :02 on the clock to give the Tigers their first home season win. 

Nelson scored 22 points in the game to go with nine rebounds while Brown scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds. The Hawks will travel to Johnson C. Smith University on Saturday in their next outing.
