MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team improved to 19-5 on the season after beating Livingstone College in straight sets in CIAA volleyball action this afternoon. With the win Chowan runs their league record to 13-1 and 6-1 in the Western Division. 

Chowan won today with final set scores of 25-14, 25-12, and 25-13. The out hit the Lady Blue Bears 43 to 11 in the match. Karina Monroe led the team in kills with 16 on the day while Antoinette McCollough came in with 11 kills in 13 total attempts. McCollough also had nine service aces.  Callie Armistead set up 33 assists in the win.

For Livingstone, Lakitta Hicks had five kills to lead her team. 

The Hawks will travel to Barton College on Tuesday in their next outing.
