FAYETTEVILLE  -  Methodist University used three second period goals to lift them over the visiting Hawks 4-0 this afternoon. The Hawks fall to 1-9 on the year after today's shut out loss. Methodist took a 1-0 lead into the halftime period before added three second half goals to take the match. 

Chowan got off four shots in the match while Methodist took 18 shots. MU's Brion Kelly scored just before halftime in the 44th minute to take a 1-0 lead over Chowan. Scott Smith, Bret Brennon, and Joshua Eustis all added goals in the second period for Methodist.

Josh Cenci started in goal for Chowan, playing 90:00, getting three saves and allowing the four Methodist scores. 

The Hawks will host Pfeiffer University on Saturday at 3:00pm in their next match up.
