MURFREESBORO - UNC-Pembroke spoiled the Hawks Senior Day as they rolled to a 4-0 shut out win this afternoon in men's soccer action. The Braves scored two late goals to take the win but the Hawks played the Braves tight until the final six minutes of the match. Chowan falls to 1-13 on the year while UNC-Pembroke improves to 8-7 overall.

UNC-Pembroke's Rondell Honora scored on a penalty kick in the 40th minute of the match to take a 1-0 lead into halftime. Andy Pullin added a goal in the 70th minute to get up on the Hawks 2-0. Pullin and Justin Hedrick scored respective goals in the 84th and 89th minutes to take the 4-0 win.

Chowan got off 10 shots, three of which were on goal while UNC-Pembroke had 33 total shots. Josh Cenci started in goal for Chowan, playing 90 minutes. Cenci had nine stops and allowed four goals. 

Seniors Josh Cenci, Jonathan Potter , Chinedu Iwuora , and Jay Rivera were honored before the start of the match for their career play while at Chowan. They will graduate in May of 2010 and have played four years with the team.
