MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team dropped their fourth straight match tonight to Virginia State after falling in three straight games (30-19, 30-20, 30-18). The Hawks collected 20 kills in the match while VSU had 33 team kills. Freshman Jazmin Orozco paced Chowan with 11 kills, 8 digs, and 2 service aces. Whitney Perry collected 17 assists while Jenny Baugham had 18 digs to lead the team. 

Chowan falls to 1-5 on the year while Virginia State improves to 2-5 on the year. Chowan travels to Meredith College on Friday for a 4:00pm match and then on to Guilford College for a Saturday tri-match with Guilford and Randolph-Macon.
