MURFREESBORO - The volleyball team ended a five game losing streak with a straight game victory over St. Paul's College this evening. The Hawks won with games scores of 30-11, 30-23, and 30-17 and out hit the visiting Tigers 33 to 17 in the match. As a team they compiled 22 match points off service aces and  6 from blocks. 

For Chowan Jazmin Orozoco and Christina Johnson tallied a team-high 9 kills. Both accounted for 6 service aces in the match and 2 total blocks. Setter Whitney Perry had 26 assists while Crystal East had 7 service aces over three games. 

Chowan moves to 3-14 on the season while St. Paul's College falls to 0-17. The Hawks will take the remainder of Fall Break off before hitting the court on October 24th when Virginia Wesleyan comes to town for a 6:00pm match.
