Braves Lose In OT

MURFREESBORO - With 1:07 left to play in overtime, the Lynchburg Hornets netted a goal to take the victory over Chowan 4-3. The Hornets struck first in the match when Richard McGruder scored a goal seven minutes into the match. The Braves would get the next two scores to take the lead. The first from Gabe Cintron (assisted by Shawn Meier) and the second on a penalty kick by Meier. The Braves held the 2-1 lead until the thirty-third minute when Ben Emmons netted a goal to tie the game at 2 goals apiece. Richard Tacaraya managed to hit a long goal with twenty seven minutes in the left in the half to take the lead once more 3-2. The Braves defense held until the seventy seventh minute when Dan Lenox footed a goal to tie the game at 3-3. That score sent the game into OT. With only 1:07 left in the OT period, Justin Valpreda scored the game winner.
