MURFREESBORO - The Braves won in a done-to-the-wire game against Frostburg State in basketball action this evening. Matching bucket for bucket, the Braves and Bobcats made the game exciting but it would be a night for the Braves as they won with a final score of 74-72. Anthony Jones who had 18 points and 4 assists in the win, including a clutch free throw to put the Braves up by two points with just over one minute remaining in the second half.
Bryan Christian had 15 points and 6 rebounds while Dejaun Green poured in 14 points. Frostburg State's Pierre Bowery had a game-high 26 points and 9 rebounds while Sean Brown scored 15 in the loss, including 2 clutch trey's in the last minutes of the second half to bring the Bobcats within striking distance. The win tonight puts Chowan at 2-1 on the season.
