MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Conference Carolinas office announced its Golfers of the Week on Wednesday afternoon, with Chowan University sophomore Gabriel Ansley being named the Men's Golfer of the Week following his standout performance at the 2026 Wolves Fall Intercollegiate.

Ansley put together three consecutive rounds under par at Edgewater Golf Club in Lancaster, S.C., carding rounds of 71, 67 and 69 to finish the 54-hole tournament at nine-under par. His performance earned him a share of first place in the 47-golfer field and marked the first first-place finish of his collegiate career.

The sophomore opened tournament play with a one-under-par 71 before turning in his lowest round of the tournament with a five-under-par 67 in round two. The performance moved Ansley into a tie for first on the individual leaderboard heading into the final round.

Ansley continued his strong play on the final day, recording six birdies while shooting a three-under-par 69. He opened the round with a 33 on the front nine before closing with a 36 on the back to secure his share of first place.

Ansley finished the tournament with a three-round score of 207, nine strokes under par, while helping Chowan secure a fifth-place team finish. The Hawks also saved their lowest team round for the final day, carding a 288 to close out the tournament.
