MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University volleyball team hosted conference opponent Francis Marion on Tuesday evening inside the Hawks Athletic Center.
After Francis Marion claimed the opening set, the Hawks responded in the second, putting together a strong offensive showing to take the frame 25-18 and even the match at one set apiece. Chowan continued to battle through the final two sets, but the Patriots regained control to take sets three and four and secure the 3-1 decision.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Rosa Lynn Collier, Alexa Fricker and Madison Henderson paced the Chowan offense with eight kills apiece. Fricker added 10 digs, while Henderson contributed two blocks at the net.
Jada Caruthers put together an all-around performance with seven kills, six digs, three blocks and an assist.
Kiara Lopez and Kennedy Mills each added two kills. Lopez also recorded three blocks, while Mills contributed 12 digs defensively.
Andrea Krgovic recorded a double-double with 19 assists and 14 digs, while Brooke Hart added 11 assists and two digs.
Anna Holcombe led the Hawks defensively with 23 digs while adding an assist.
UP NEXT
Chowan travels to Franklin Springs, Ga., on Friday, Oct. 2, to take on Conference Carolinas opponent Emmanuel. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start time.
