MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University men's lacrosse team had a record-setting day at Hawks Field on Saturday to help celebrate the 2026 Hawks senior class. The Hawks soared to a 33-2 win over Shorter University to pick up their first Conference Carolinas win in record setting fashion. CU's Reed Low became the single game assists record holder with 9 total assists on the day. Reed's 7 goals and 9 assists gave him a second record on the day: total points in a single game with 16.
Chowan tied the overall goals scored in a game with their 33 goals. Thirteen different Hawks recorded goals in the match.
At the conclusion of the match, five seniors were honored for their time in the Blue and White: Harry Edwards, Michael Litchfield, Calvin Evans, Rocco Smith, and Julian Wolfe.

Thirteen different Hawks scored goals in the match, paced by Lowe's 7 scores. Todd Egan and Seth Mackenzie posted 6 goals each in the win. Egan added two assists in the match. Justin Hill added 5 goals while Treston Gatewood added four assists. Thomas Rohal scored a goal and had three assists while Owen Williams added a score and three assists. Julian Wolfe notched a score and an assist in the match, along with four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Harry Edwards picked up four ground balls and had four caused turnovers.
Chowan won 23 of 38 face offs, led by C.J. Kuykendal who won 8-10 face offs in the match. Tyler Kline won 5 face offs, while Kennedy Moore and Tobin Kaiser each won five and four face offs respectively. Jayden Rodriguez picked up a face off win as well.
Rocco Smith picked up the win in the goal for the Hawks. He allowed a goal and had six saves for his third net win of the season. Ja'Michael Stewart saw time in relief of Smith.
