MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2025-2026 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week. For the week of March 4 – March 11, Marcia Aragon of the women's tennis team and Reed Low of the men's lacrosse team, have been recognized for their standout performances over the past week of competition.

Marcia Aragon has put together an impressive season so far in singles play, with a 5-1 record while consistently cruising past her opponents. In the Hawks' first home match against Davis & Elkins, Aragon competed in the No. 1 spot and secured a 6-1, 6-3 victory.

Chowan later traveled to Hilton Head, South Carolina for the Spring Break Fest from March 7–9, where Aragon extended her strong play with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win over her opponent from UPR–Rio Piedras. Over the past week, Aragon posted a 2-1 record and has been a key contributor to the Hawks' lineup this season.

Reed Low also delivered a historic performance on Saturday, March 7, etching his name into the Chowan record books during the Hawks' 33-2 victory over Shorter. The win allowed the team to tie the program record for most goals scored in a single game.

Low set the program's single-game assists record with nine assists and added seven goals to finish with another record-setting performance—16 total points in a single game. The junior from Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada continued his offensive surge in the Hawks' next contest against Virginia State on Wednesday, March 11, scoring four goals and adding an assist for five total points while placing four of his five shots on goal.
