MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The Chowan University baseball team wrapped up their three-game series at the University of Mount Olive on Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 loss to the Trojans. The Hawks went 1-2 in the three-game series.
CU's Jordan Turner stayed hot at the plate, collecting a double in the game. The freshman is currenting hitting at a .467 clip, leading all Hawks hitters.

Chowan was held to five hits in the game, led by Jacob Walker, who tallied two hits. Turner collected a hit and Landon Carnley accounted for the team's lone run in the top of the 9th inning.
Teray Cherry (1-2) picked up the loss on the mound after throwing three innings, giving up four hits and five runs. Cody Ives came in to relieve Cherry and pitched five innings, giving up three hits and a run while striking out three Trojan batters.

The Hawks will host Walsh University on Thursday, March 5th at Hawkins Field before hosting a three-game series with Emmanuel College. The Conference Carolinas series will begin Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM at Hawkins Field, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, March 7th at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
