PEMBROKE, N.C. - The Chowan University women's basketball team wrapped up the regular season on a high-note defeating East Division foe, UNC Pembroke (eighth in the KPI) in a wire-to-wire finish on Wednesday afternoon on the road.

Nyeisha Savage paced the Hawks with another double-digit outing with 20 points and 12 rebounds on 10-17 shooting night to go with a career-high seven blocks. Alexandria James-Fearon contributed with 14 points on 6-8 shooting from the floor.
Daneesha Briggs tallied 10 points, while Ayana Rutledge picked up nine points and four assists.
The Hawks shot 50%-plus from the floor in three of the quarters to shoot 53.1% from the floor in the contest. Chowan held UNC Pembroke to 12.5% (2-16) shooting in the third quarter to extend their advantage.
The Blue and White used their presence in the paint to outscore the Braves 52-30 with a plus 12 advantage on the glass.
