MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University Volleyball team dropped a tough four-set battle against conference opponent North Greenville on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks came out strong with a first-set victory, but the Trailblazers regrouped and claimed the next three sets to secure the win. Chowan moves to 2-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play, while North Greenville improves to 4-5 on the season and 2-1 in league action.

Alyssa Thompson paced the Hawks offense with a team-high eight kills, while Rosa Lynn Collier added seven and Gabriella Figueroa chipped in six. Setter Brooke Hart directed the attack with a team-best 16 assists, and Alexandra Liggeri contributed 13 to keep the offense balanced.
Defensively, Jy'Asha Cousins anchored the front line with six blocks, tying her career high. In the back row, Diana Rodriguez collected a match-leading 21 digs to steady the defense. Hart contributed on both ends with eight digs, while Liggeri chipped in seven to round out a complete team effort.
