MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2024-2025 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.
 
For the week of  September 10 – September 17, Riley Donnelly of the women's soccer team, along with Jeevan Purewal and Cameron Letterlough of the men's soccer team, have been recognized for their standout performances over the past week of competition
 
Riley Donnelly| Forward| #21 | Sophomore | Women's Soccer | Jacksonville, NC
In the match against Francis Marion, Riley Donnelly recorded three shots, converting one on target into a goal. She followed up with another strong performance against Barton, scoring off a header from a corner kick. Her strike in the second half opened the scoring and set the tone for the Hawks.

Jeevan Purewal | Midfield | #20 | Senior | Men's Soccer | Wolverhampton, England
Against Virginia State, Jeevan Purewal delivered an impressive performance with two shots, including one on goal, while adding a score and three assists. He followed with two shots and the lone Hawks goal to tie the match against Francis Marion. In the contest with Barton, Purewal continued to contribute with three shots, one on target, and an assist.

Cameron Letterlough | Forward | #18 | Freshman | Men's Soccer | Asheboro, NC
Cameron Letterlough powered the Hawks' attack against Virginia State with four shots on goal, finishing with two goals and two assist. He stayed aggressive in the matchup with Barton, registering six shots, including a goal and two on target.
