MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan baseball team came up short in both games of a Conference Carolinas doubleheader against Mount Olive, falling to the Trojans at Hawkins Field.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
In game one, Geomar Santana led the Hawks' bats with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored. Warren Bailey added a solo homer to left in the eighth.
Nicky Wohleking started on the mound, striking out four over five innings but was tagged with the loss. Landon Tyndall, Cody Ives, and Nicolas Cataldo pitched in relief.
In game two, Ryan Bellamy led the Hawks at the plate with a pair of hits, driving in a run and scoring once himself. Caden Rector, Ethan Robinson, Noah Simpson, and Jackson Dunlap each chipped in with a hit, while Robinson added an RBI to his stat line.
Josh Wise got the start on the mound, pitching four innings and striking out three. He was credited with the loss. Josh Tripp and Zackary Wilson appeared in relief to finish out the game.
