INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
In game one, the action picked up in the fourth inning when Elizabeth Ingle launched a solo home run, tying the game at 1-1. Anderson quickly responded, plating two runs in the bottom half of the inning and adding three more in the fifth to extend their lead.
The Hawks' offense found its rhythm again in the sixth. Calliope James ignited the rally with a single down the left-field line, bringing in a run. Kaitlyn Springle followed with an infield single, driving in two more runs to cut the deficit to 6-4.
Starting in the circle for the Hawks was Emily Fowler, who pitched three innings, allowing six hits and three runs. With the loss, she moved to 0-3 on the season. Abby Rutledge and Alex Bishop came in to provide relief for Fowler.
In Game 2, the scoring got underway early in the first inning when Elizabeth Ingle singled up the middle, driving in two runs. The Hawks' offense kept the momentum going in the third inning. Ava Mizell led off with a single to left field, bringing in a run. Alexis Denham drew a walk, scoring a run with the bases loaded, followed by James, who walked in another. Ingle then singled again up the middle, adding two more RBIs to her tally. Fowler followed with a single down the left-field line, driving in yet another run. Springle then doubled down the left-field line, scoring another run. In the sixth inning, Lenita Bryson capped off the scoring with a two-run double to left-center, further extending the Hawks' lead.
Alex Bishop started in the circle for game two, with Haileigh Boone, Abby Rutledge, Fowler, and James coming in relief.

The Hawks will be back on the road on Friday, March 7, as they take on Winston-Salem State in Winston-Salem, N.C. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM, with game two following at 3:00 PM.
