MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University baseball team dropped their final game of the home series to the Barton Bulldogs on Sunday afternoon.

The Hawks scored in the first inning when Elvis Rumaldo singled, bringing in Geomar Santana. In the sixth, Ryan Bellamy hit a two-run home run to right-center. In the ninth, Caleb Karie's sac fly to right field drove in Chris Rumaldo.
Josh Wise got the start on the mound, pitching five innings and allowing seven runs, three of which were earned. He took the loss, falling to 1-2 on the season. Teray Cherry, Cody Ives, Ben Bausas, and Konnor Tomczak all came in relief for the Hawks.
