MURFREESBORO, N.C. – CU Softball hosted Clarion for a doubleheader at Hawks Field on Saturday, and they came away with a split in the two-game series.

In game one, second baseman Ava Mizell went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Calliope James went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two walks. Elizabeth Ingle went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
In game two, Mizell powered the Hawks' offense, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Hope Soria also contributed, going 1-for-1 with two RBIs.
Haileigh Boone pitched a complete five innings in the circle, securing the win for the Hawks while recording five strikeouts.
