MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan University Hawks were defeated by the UNC Pembroke Braves in a road Conference Carolinas matchup this afternoon.

The Hawks grabbed 49 total rebounds, tallied 11 second-chance points, and scored 30 points in the paint. CU capitalized on turnovers for seven points and contributed 12 points from their bench.

Meara Carter notched her fourth double-double of the season, hauling in 13 rebounds and adding 12 points to lead the Hawks. Alexandria James-Fearon pulled down nine rebounds, with eight coming on the offensive glass. Yasmine Brown tallied 12 points for CU.
