NINETY-SIX, S.C. - The Chowan University golf team finished out the Patriot Fall Classic in a tie for 10th place out of 19 teams on Tuesday afternoon. Gabriel Ansley had a stand out performance, finishing the three-round tournament at -3 under par and in 13th place (113 participants).

INSIDE THE SCORE CARDS 

Chowan chipped away in their final round of play to move up two spots to finish in a tie for 10th place with the University of Mount Olive. Gabriel Ansley paced the Hawks with 14 birdies over three rounds and finishing up -3. Bjoern Holt helped move the Hawks up the leaderboard after firing off seven birdies in the final round of play. Holt shaved eight strokes off his first round scores to finish in a tie for 55th place. Mika Buchholtz finished up in 61st place with five birdies over three rounds and shooting even par in round two. Adam Lankford finished up in 64th place after shooting rounds of 76, 71, and 79. Bryce Koehler rounded out the Hawks team scoring after shooting 77, 78, 77 over three rounds and finishing in 89th place. 

Freshman Chance Lassiter notched a hole-in-one in his first season of collegiate competition. Lassiter competed as an individual, where he finished in a tie for 55th place out of 113 golfers. Lassiter shot 74-74-76 over three rounds and picked up his hole-in-one in the second round of play on a 188 yard, par 3 hole.
