Murfreesboro, N.C. — Chowan University is proud to announce that freshman forward Cameron Letterlough has been named D2 Men's Player of the Week for October 9-15, as featured in TopDrawerSoccer's "Men's D2, D3, NAIA Weekly Recap."  

Letterlough extended his scoring streak to six consecutive matches, tallying two goals versus Southern Wesleyan and another goal against Mount Olive.   This recognition places him among the top performers across the NCAA Division II landscape. Letterlough scored three of the Hawks six goals in their last two outings, including his second multiple goal game of the season at SWU. Letterlough has scored in 10 of the Hawks 11 matches this season. 

He has been named the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month as well as the Ace Hardware Athlete of the Week through 11 matches this season. 

"We're thrilled to see Cameron's hard work and consistency rewarded," said Coach Whalley. "His ability to maintain a scoring presence week after week speaks volumes about his talent and determination. He's emerging as a key playmaker for the Hawks."

A brief snapshot of Letterlough's 2025 season to date:
    •    Scoring streak: Six consecutive games with at least one goal
    •    Recent performance: Multi-goal effort vs. Southern Wesleyan + goal vs. Mount Olive
    •    Role: Integral attacking piece in Chowan's offensive strategy

This accolade not only underscores Letterlough's individual excellence, but also brings positive visibility to Chowan athletics on a national stage.
