MURFREESBORO, N.C. - On Saturday afternoon, the Chowan University Hawks faced off against the Emmanuel University Lions in a Conference Carolinas battle inside the Hawks Athletic Center, where the Hawks remained undefeated both overall and in conference play.

The Hawks capitalized on Emmanuel's mistakes, scoring 23 points off turnovers. They also added 14 points from second-chance opportunities. Dominating inside, Chowan racked up 32 points in the paint, outpacing Emmanuel, who managed just 20.

Yasmine Brown led the Hawks' offense, totaling 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals. Desiree Askew finished with 11 points, three rebounds, and 3 assists, while Danea Mackey recorded 10 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Mackey was perfect from the free-throw line, going 6-6.
