The Hawks' defense was solid, forcing 21 turnovers. The team grabbed 45 total rebounds, including 12 offensive boards and 33 defensive rebounds, leading to 15 second-chance points. Chowan dominated inside, scoring 42 points in the paint, while also adding seven fast-break points.
Yasmine Brown and Desiree Askew both finished the night with 18 points, with Brown adding eight rebounds and Askew contributing six rebounds. Meara Carter recorded 12 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. Brown sealed the win with a clutch game-winning two-pointer, breaking the 66-66 tie in overtime
Defensively, Nyeisha Savage led the way with nine total rebounds, three blocks, and a steal. Kaleah Boykin contributed with three steals, one block, and four rebounds.
