MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Hawks defeated the Belmont Abbey Crusades in a Conference Carolinas matchup on Saturday afternoon at the Hawks Athletic Center.

The Hawks grabbed 37 total rebounds, with 10 offensive boards leading to 13 second-chance points. Chowan scored 30 points in the paint and 14 fast break points. The bench contributed 22 points, and the Hawks capitalized on turnovers, scoring 15 points off them.

Daylan Askew led the Hawks in scoring with 23 points, while also adding four assists. RJ Wilson registered 16 points, six rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Eric Gordon Jr. contributed 12 points and five rebounds, while Aaron Ross chipped in 10 points and four rebounds. Cheick Traore grabbed seven rebounds and scored seven points.
