MURFREESBORO N.C. – In an exciting start to the 2024 swim season, the Chowan University men's and women's swim teams faced off against Barton College and UNC Pembroke on Sunday, September 29th. The men's team delivered a strong performance, finishing in a tie with Barton College, both scoring 105.00 points. The women's UNC Pembroke team triumphed over Barton College with a score of 169.00 to 70.00. Barton College also defeated Chowan, scoring 147.00 to 56.00. 

Dimitrije Markovic claimed victories in the men's 400 freestyle, men's 200 freestyle, and the men's 200 IM. Robert Cabrera won the men's 100 freestyle and the men's 50 freestyle. Ethan Moxey won the men's 50 butterfly. Jose Medina, Aleksei Belolipetskii, Christian Oleaga, Robert Cabrera all won the men's 200 freestyle relay.
