MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Softball team found their stroke at the plate blasting six home runs in the twinbill split against Converse in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Kyra Helton, Ava Mizell, and Megan Leon collected their first collegiate home runs in the contests. Mckenzie Misenheimer, Elizabeth Ingle and Sophia Medina hit a home run as well.
Kyra Helton led the Hawks with three hits with two RBI and a stolen base. Megan Leon and Sophia Medina added two hits with two RBI each.
Calliope James earned her first collegiate win in the nightcap finishing the final two innings without allowing a run.
Chowan committed six errors in game one leading to nine unearned runs and put the Hawks in a hole.
Ava Mizell, Carly Hannah, Elizabeth Ingle, Haleigh Reid, and Mckenzie Misenheimer tallied one hit each.

Chowan hits the road for East Divisional action as the Hawks travel to Francis Marion on Tuesday, April 9. First pitch is slated for 4pm against the Patriots.
