WILSON, N.C. – The Chowan Softball team rallied but fell short in the twinbill against Barton in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday on the road.

Elizabeth Ingle led the team going 3-4 at the plate with a double, home run and three walks to go with three RBI.
Kyra Helton chipped in with three hits and a stolen base. Ava Mizell and Mckenzie Misenheimer collected two hits each with a double. Misenheimer added a stolen base and two RBI.
Megan Leon and Lenita Bryson posted one hit each.
Chowan jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second game before seven unanswered runs by Barton. The Hawks rallied to even the score in the fourth at 7-all, but Barton pushed across two runs in the fifth.

Chowan hits the road for the final weekend of the regular season as the Hawks take on Erskine on Friday, April 19 before heading to King on Saturday, April 20.
