MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team snapped their streak in a split against King in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon.

Ryan Bellamy led the Hawks at the plate hitting for the cycle in the twinbill with five hits. Bellamy notched a single, double, and triple in game one before hitting a grand slam in the night cap with six RBI.
Dawerlyn Amancio posted four hits on the day with a triple and a double to go with three RBI. Ty Johnson chipped in with four hits and a RBI.
Patrick Krack continued his hot hitting with three hits including a double with two walks and a RBI. Christian Bartholomew picked up two hits with a RBI before exiting the nightcap contest after being hit for the second time. The Hawks were hit by pitches seven times on the day.
Geomar Sanatana picked up two hits with a double and a RBI. Christian Allen went 2-2 at the plate with two RBI and two walks.
Jackson Dunlap and Caleb Karie collected one hit each.
Angel Diaz pitched a career-high 6.2 innings with eight strikeouts in relief in game one. Bradley Wilbourne picked up the win in the nightcap tossing 4.0 innings in relief with three strikeouts.
Chowan scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth to close the gap to 9-8 before leaving the tying run in scoring position.
In the nightcap, Chowan scored seven runs in the fifth inning chasing three pitchers.
