Davies, Ingle Named Student-Athletes Of The Week

MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2023-2024 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of January 29 – February 4, Elizabeth Ingle of Softball and Skyler Davies of Men's Basketball for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Elizabeth Ingle picked up four hits this weekend to go .400 at the plate with two RBI, a double, and her first collegiate home run.

Ingle picked up three of her hits during the first contest against Fairmont State helping the Hawks battle back to force extra innings. Ingle would hit her first career home run in the bottom of the seventh to spark a rally.

Skyler helped the Hawks to a 1-1 week averaging 15.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.5 steals while shooting 61.1% from the floor.

Against Francis Marion, Skyler tied a career-high with 18 points after shooting 8-11 (72.7%) from the floor, hauled in six rebounds and posted five steals in the win.

Skyler would add 13 points, seven rebounds and a block in the close loss to Belmont Abbey on the road.
