MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2023-2024 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of February 5 – February 11, Blake Tutman of Women's Lacrosse and Gavin Koors of Men's Lacrosse for their efforts on their respective teams during the week.

Blake Tutman | Freshman | #11 | M | Women's Lacrosse | Owings Mills, Md.

In her first collegiate action, Blake netted a hat-trick scoring four goals with one assist.  More impressively, Tutman tallied 12 draw controls, second most in program history, to go with three caused turnovers.

Tutman helped lead the Hawks to their first win of the season over Montreat.

Gavin Koors | Sophomore | #25 | GK | Men's Lacrosse | Ponte Vedra, Fla.

Gavin helped the Hawks to their first win of the season with a 13-8 victory over St. Thomas Aquinas.  Koors in goal had 15 saves with a 65.2% save percentage with eight goals allowed.  Koors would also collect three ground balls.
