GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has released its 2024 women's soccer all-conference honors as chosen by the league's head coaches.

The Chowan women's soccer program earned a spot on the All-Conference list with a Third Team selection for Natasha Bailey. Bailey led the team with 4 goals and 3 assists, while also recording 32 shots, including 14 on target. Her performance earned her well-deserved recognition on the Third Team All-Conference.

Francis Marion University's Kristina Syragakis was selected Offensive Player of the Year while Lees-McRae College's Chiara Coppin garnered Defensive Player of the Year honors. Shakira Kafero Roberts of UNC Pembroke was named Freshman of the Year while Lees-McRae head coach Cally Morrill was tabbed Coach of the Year.

Syragakis was twice selected Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Week as she led Conference Carolinas with 15 goals and 37 points. The junior added seven assists to rank her third in the league. Syragakis led the Patriots to an East Division title with five game-winning goals, including three in 2-1 Francis Marion victories. She scored both goals in back-to-back 201 wins over Chowan University and Barton College in September. Earlier in the month she tallied three goals in a 4-0 win over Southern Wesleyan University. In October she scored both goals in wins over North Greenville University and Barton. She had a stretch in the middle of the season where she scored a goal in five straight games.

Coppin was twice named Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Week as the goalkeeper led the league with a .267 goals against average. She also led Conference Carolinas with 11 shutouts and a .911 save percentage. All three of those marks rank in the top three of NCAA Division II with the 11 shutouts checking in a second. Heading into the conference tournament, Coppin hasn't allowed a goal over the last six matches. Her last goal came on October 16. She hasn't allowed two goals in a game all season.

In her first season on campus Kafero Roberts tallied four goals and added four assists for a total of 12 points. She ranked 16th in the league in points, 13th in assists and 24th in goals. She started her career with a goal in her first game against the University of North Georgia before posting a goal and an assist in the Conference Carolinas opener against North Greenville. She added a goal and an assist on October 16 against Mount Olive.

Morrill led the Bobcats to 10-2-3 overall record while going 9-0-3 in Conference Carolinas play to capture the Northwest Division and the top seed in the Conference Carolinas Women's Soccer Championship. The division crown is the first for the Bobcats and their first title since winning back-to-back regular season championships in 2012 and 2013.
