MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team suffered a 20-13 loss to Barton in Conference Carolinas action at home on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon.

Jaxon Martin and Noah Jalal collected five points on the day. Martin tallied three goals and two assists, while Jalal posted a team-high four goals and one assist. Eric George posted three goals and one assist. Erik Dozzi scored two goals and one assist.
Gavin Koors took the loss in cage with 19 saves.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Eric George put the Hawks on the board early in the first quarter before the Bulldogs scored four straight goals to lead 4-1. George would end the run with a goal before Jaxon Martin found Erik Dozzi for a tally before the end of the quarter, 4-3.
Barton would run out to an 8-3 lead with four straight goals to open the second stanza. Noah Jalal started a run for the Hawks with a goal before Carson Moore found Erik Dozzi for a goal and Jaxon Martin found Harrison Buckman for a goal to cut the deficit to 8-6.
Jaxon Martin scored off the assist by Noah Jalal before the Bulldogs took an 11-7 advantage into the locker room.
Barton scored five straight goals in the third to lead 16-9 before a string of three goals by Noah Jalal to cut the deficit to 17-12. Jaxon Martin scored off an assist by Erik Dozzi for the final goal for the Hawks as Barton took the contest, 20-13.

Chowan hits the road for their final two contests of the regular season as the Hawks travel to Belmont Abbey on April 15. Opening face-off is slated for 1pm.
