HOW IT HAPPENED

Game One: Chowan 2, King 16

The Hawks scored their final run in the second inning as Ty Johnson singled and came around to score on a throwing error at the plate to lead 2-0.

Warren Bailey nearly made it 3-0 in the third inning as his double hit off the fence but was left stranded.

King started their rally in the third inning plating a pair of runs to even the score at 2-all.  The Tornado took advantage of a pair of errors in the fourth inning to take a 9-2 advantage.  King tacked on four more runs in the fifth inning and three in the sixth to extend their lead to 16-2.

Game Two: Chowan 4, King 7

Chowan looked to get on the board in the second inning as the Hawks loaded the bases with three straight hits by Warren Bailey, Jackson Dunlap, and Ethan Robinson.  A double play ended the rally.

Christian Bartholomew put the Hawks on the board in the third inning with a solo home run to left center.  King answered in the bottom of the inning with five runs to lead 5-1.

Ethan Robinson nearly had a big fly in the fourth inning as his shot to left went off the fence.  Chowan loaded the bases in the fifth inning with two-outs but left the bases loaded.

Christian Bartholomew would hit his second home run of the contest in the seventh inning with a solo blast down the left field line to cut the deficit to 5-2.  Rowan Hudson, Warren Bailey, and Jackson Dunlap picked up singles to load the bases before leaving the bases loaded again.

The Tornado rallied with a pair in the bottom of the inning to stretch the advantage to 7-2.
