MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Warren Bailey and Rowan Hudson's childhood scenarios were played out to perfection as the Chowan Baseball team rallied to defeat Emory & Henry with a walk-off home run in extra innings, 15-14, at home on Wednesday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
With two-outs in the bottom of the ninth, Warren Bailey tied the game with a three-run home run. Rowan Hudson would hit a walk-off home run in the 10th. Hudson would go 3-5 at the plate.
Carrington Williams went 3-5 at the plate with four RBI. Warren Bailey picked up two hits and two walks to go along with four RBI. Christian Bartholomew would hit a home run.
Landon Oughton picked up the win in relief going 2.0 innings allowing one hit and struck out two. Konnor Tomczak tossed 5.0 innings of shutout ball with two hits and six strikeouts in relief.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Emory & Henry took a 5-0 lead after the first inning as two errors aided the rally.
Chowan answered in the bottom of the third inning as Christian Bartholomew was hit by a pitch and Geomar Santana singled up the middle. The duo would come around to score on Carrington Williams' single to left. Williams scored on Warren Bailey's single to left to cut the deficit to 5-3.
The Hawks used a miscue in the fourth inning to take the lead. Christian Bartholomew hit a solo shot to start the rally. Geomar Santana drew a walk before Carrington Williams greeted the new pitcher with a single. Warren Bailey drew a walk to load the bases before a throwing error allowed Santana and Williams to come around to score to lead 6-5.
Chowan pushed the lead to 9-5 in the fifth inning as Jackson Dunlap and Rowan Hudson picked up singles. Dunlap would score on an error following Ty Johnson's sacrifice bunt attempt. Caleb Karie hit a sacrifice fly before a walk pitch led to another run.
Emory & Henry would rally in the seventh inning scoring six runs off five hits to regain the lead 11-9. The Wasps extended their lead to 14-9 in the eighth inning.
Ty Johnson and Caleb Karie picked up base hits before Geomar Santana drew a walk to load the bases. Carrington Williams singled down the left field line to cut the deficit to 14-11. Warren Bailey welcomed the new pitcher with a two-out three-run home run to right field to even the score at 14-all and send the game to extra innings.
The Wasps grabbed a walk in the tenth inning but was left stranded at second.
On a 1-1 count, Rowan Hudson would send the Hawks into a frenzy with a walk-off home run to left center for the victory.
