The win secured the first win for Bryan Hill in his early tenure.

Warren Bailey led the attack going 3-3 at the plate with a home run, intentional walk and two RBI.  Christian Bartholomew, Tyler West, and Jackson Dunlap picked up two hits each.  Bartholomew led with three RBI, while Dunlap hit a home run.

HOW IT HAPPENED

UNC Pembroke would break the deadlock in the top of the fourth inning as the Braves hit a three-run home run to lead 3-0.

Warren Bailey would respond in the bottom of the fourth inning with a solo shot to left field to cut the deficit to 3-1.

UNC Pembroke pushed the lead to 4-1 in the top of the fifth before the Hawks would rally.

Caleb Karie started the rally with a walk and stole second.  Geomar Santana and Aidan Feather drew walks to load the bases.  Christian Bartholomew hit a bloop single to right to plate Karie and Santana.  Warren Bailey hit a sacrifice fly to even the score at 4-all.  Carrington Williams doubled to right center to score Bartholomew before coming around to score on Tyler West's single up the middle.  Jackson Dunlap would hit a no-doubt home run to right center to put the Hawks up 8-4.

The Braves rallied in the top of the sixth inning with three runs off one hit to cut the deficit to 8-7.

The Hawks would keep UNCP off the scoreboard and would add an insurance run in the eighth inning as Caleb Karie drew a walk to start the inning.  Christian Bartholomew doubled down the right field line that allowed Karie to score to lead 9-7.

UNCP picked up a double in the ninth, but a ground out and a strikeout ended the contest.
