MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team used a strong second half push to grab a 16-10 victory in Conference Carolinas action against Lees-McRae on Wednesday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Jaxon Martin led the Hawks with seven points recording four goals and three assists.  Martin collected his 150th career goal.

Erik Dozzi posted four goals and one assist.  Carson Moore posted his first career-multi goal contest with two goals and three assists.

Noah Jalal and Rylan Downey notched two goals each.  Eric George added one goal and two assists.  Michael Litchfield tallied his first collegiate goal.  Julian Wolfe grabbed one assist, while Harrison Buckman posted a pair of assists.

Gavin Koors picked up the win in cage with 15 saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Jaxon Martin put the Hawks on the board midway through the opening frame off an assist by Eric George.  Carson Moore found Noah Jalal for a goal before Lees-McRae took a 3-2 lead.  Michael Litchfield scored in transition to even the score at 3-all.

LMC opened the second quarter with a pair of goals before back-to-back tallies by Erik Dozzi evened the contest.  Noah Jalal scored unassisted as both teams went into the intermission knotted up at 6-all.

Rylan Downey scored a man-up goal from Jaxon Martin before Martin tallied a man-down goal to lead 8-6.  The Bobcats rallied with their only goals of the stanza to even the score at 8-all.

The Hawks would score three straight goals to end the period as Eric George scored off an assist by Carson Moore.  Julian Wolfe found Erik Dozzi for a goal and Moore found the back of the net with four seconds remaining off the assist by Jaxon Martin to lead 11-8.

Carson Moore scored to open the fourth period off the assist by Erik Dozzi.  The Bobcats scored on the man-advantage before the Hawks countered with a man-up goal by Jaxon Martin off the assist by Harrison Buckman.

Eric George found Erik Dozzi for a goal before the Bobcats' final tally.  Rylan Downey scored from distance off the assist from Harrison Buckman before Jaxon Martin finished off the scoring with an assist from Carson Moore.
