ANDERSON, S.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team suffered a season opening loss to the Trojans on the road in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE

Erik Dozzi led the Hawks with seven points posting a hat-trick and four assists.  Noah Jalal collected a hat-trick posting four goals.  Jaxon Martin also tallied a hat-trick and two assists.  Eric George added a goal and two assists.  Ronaldo Williams posted one goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED

First Quarter:

Anderson jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first four minutes of the contest until Eric George found the back of the net on an Erik Dozzi assist.

The Trojans added seven more goals in the frame to lead 12-1.

Second Quarter:

Anderson stretched their advantage to 17-1 before Erik Dozzi found the back of the net.  The Trojans would lead 20-2 at the intermission.

Third Quarter:

Erik Dozzi found Jaxon Martin to start the scoring in the half for the Hawks.  The duo would swap places as Martin assisted Dozzi for a goal and then Dozzi connected with Martin again for another goal.

Noah Jalal scored on the man advantage off the assist from Erik Dozzi as the Hawks trailed 26-6 at the end of the quarter.

Fourth Quarter:

Noah Jalal and Ronaldo Williams found the back of the net unassisted in the frame.  Jaxon Martin would score on the man-up advantage off the assist from Eric George.  Noah Jalal scored unassisted to trim the deficit to 29-10.

Noah Jalal and Erik Dozzi finished up the scoring off assists from Jaxon Martin and Eric George.
