CENTRAL, S.C. – The Chowan Baseball team dropped a league doubleheader against Southern Wesleyan on Friday afternoon on the road.

Warren Bailey paced the offense with three hits including his second home run of the season. Tyler West added two hits, while Patrick Krack, Aidan Feather, Ben Bausas, Ty Johnson, and Jackson Dunlap picked up one hit each.
Shane Rademacher tossed 6.0 innings and struck out eight in game one.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One: Chowan 0, Southern Wesleyan 2
Jackson Dunlap picked up a single in the top of the third for the first base runner for the Hawks.
Southern Wesleyan would break the scoreless tie in the bottom of the third with a pair of hits to open the frame. The Warriors picked up a double to plate the pair to lead 2-0.
Warren Bailey picked up a single in the fourth and Ty Johnson singled in the fifth and stole second. Tyler West singled in the sixth before reaching on an error in the ninth. Bailey picked up an infield single in the ninth but was left stranded.
Game Two: Chowan 3, Southern Wesleyan 14
Patrick Krack picked up a lead-off single and stole second. Krack would move to third on a bunt single by Tyler West before being left stranded.
SWU benefitted from a pair of errors in the bottom of the first to lead 1-0. The Warriors used a huge second inning to extend their lead to 8-0.
Caleb Karie drew a walk and ended up at third following a base hit by Aidan Feather, but would be left stranded.
The Warriors pushed their lead to 14-0 in the third inning scoring six runs off one hit.
Warren Bailey hit a solo home run in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 14-1.
The Hawks would cut into the deficit in the top of the seventh as Christian Bartholomew reached on an error before Ben Bausas singled. A pair of wild pitches allowed Bartholomew to score and Bausas to move to third. Bausas would score on a wild pitch with two outs to trail 14-3.
