ROME, GA. – Eric George tied the program record for goals in a single game as the Chowan Men's Lacrosse team defeated the Hawks of Shorter in a non-conference contest on Saturday afternoon.

Eric George scored 10 goals and added one assist. Erik Dozzi registered six goals and two assists. Noah Jalal collected four goals with two assists. Alex Wildeboer contributed three goals. Jaxon Martin tallied two goals and two assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED
First Quarter:
Eric George started the scoring 11 seconds into the contest. Alex Wildeboer, Jaxon Martin, Noah Jalal, and Erik Dozzi went on a scoring run to put the Hawks up 6-1 at the end of the opening frame.
Second Quarter:
Erik Dozzi opened the scoring with a pair of goals off assists from Jaxon Martin and Noah Jalal. Alex Wildeboer added an unassisted tally to lead 9-1.
Erik Dozzi and Eric George would score to stretch the lead to 11-1. Shorter scored three unanswered goals before Eric George scored a man-up goal off the assist from Noah Jalal.
Alex Wildeboer and Eric George found the back of the net to put the Hawks up 14-6 at the intermission.
Third Quarter:
Jaxon Martin started the scoring in the half with an unassisted tally. Erik Dozzi scored off an assist from Patrick Crutchfield. Dozzi would find Eric George for a goal before finding the back of the net again to stretch the lead to 18-7.
Shorter closed the gap to 18-12 before Eric George scored a pair of goals to end the frame, 20-12.
Fourth Quarter:
Noah Jalal and Eric George scored to start the fourth. Eric George scored back-to-back goals before Noah Jalal scored with 19 seconds left to finish off the contest.
